MedPro Software LLC. is committed to helping healthcare organizations comply with standards mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). We have designed privacy and security tools throughout our applications as a matter of good clinical systems practice. For continued compliance with the latest regulations, customers can rely on our products and professional services to help analyze and modify the systems-related measures that safeguard patient privacy.

Our applications combine proven encryption technology for secure data transfer with other capabilities, such as user security to help ensure that the only people who can access a patient's information are those intended to see the information. In addition, our user and role-based security options support privacy without impeding care. Other access controls are built into MedPro Software’s applications, including automatic password time-outs, length controls for password, user name, and electronic signature; automatic password expirations; login attempt restrictions.

Each time a patient's information is accessed, our system tracks details of the event. Extensive audit trail reports allow organizations to answer queries into who, when and how patient-level information has been updated or modified.

The following is a brief description of the various security levels in place which are used by and with Med Pro Software version 2.17 or later to achieve HIPAA compliance. It is ultimately the responsibility of each site to determine what is required to achieve HIPAA compliance. Medpro Software LLC puts forth a good faith effort to keep its patient data secure and to conform to HIPAA regulations.
